If you are registered as a patient, you can have access to various on-line services:
If you register to use the system then you won’t have to enter your personal details every time you send us a consultation.
Patients can now consult online with a Clinician at our practice as part of a new online service which could save you time and a journey.
Using the online consultation service makes it easier for us to quickly decide how we can best help you with the least amount of disruption to your day. The service is free and confidential and medical consultations are always reviewed by a GP or Nurse Practitioner.
Simply answer questions about your symptoms online and we’ll call you back the same day (or the next working day if it’s sent after 4.30 pm) with general advice or signposting, a telephone consultation or, if necessary, we’ll get you booked in for an appointment. You can use the system 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
You can also use the system to send administrative queries if you have a question relating to test results, letters, medical reports or have a general enquiry.
The service also offers access to reliable and trustworthy self-help generic information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that may help you to avoid an appointment altogether.

Care & Suport
If you take antibiotics when you do not need them, you could be helping to make bacteria resistent to them.
It means that the drugs can no longer kill the bacteria they are meant to fight.
Your GP will advise when it is appropriate to take antibiotics
NHS 111 makes it easier for you to access local NHS HEALTHCARE SERVICES. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency.
NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time. You can also dial 111 when the surgery is closed

Winterton Medical Practice was set up in 1901 and has served the village of Winterton and the surrounding area since that time. Our branch surgery is located at Burton-upon-Stather. We welcome new patients from within our catchment area.
The practice has set high standards of care and service for all its patients. In order to help achieve these goals, this website provides a wealth of information about our organisation, the services we provide and the ways that you can help us to help you
Whilst modern healthcare embraces developing technology, new medicines and sometimes revolutionary treatments, in our practice, one thing remains constant. Our doctors and staff maintain a caring ethos that places the patient as the focus of all that we do
In addition to GP consultations, the Practice provides a wide-range of clinics and services run by our clinical team for patients registered with our practice. Patients of other practices may be referred by their own GP - either by direct referral or through the Choose and Book system.
